PECHO RANCH DAY IN LOS OSOS takes place July 5 at 11am at Montana De Oro State Park. A day of spinning, quilting, whittling, and flin knapping demonstrations, authentic Victorian characters, food, and a Spooner history walk. Info: 528-0513.

STORIES ‘ROUND THE FIRE will be held at 7pm on Cayucos Beach, south of the pier on July 5, 19, 26 and Aug. 9, 16, and 23. These family-oriented storytelling performances feature storyteller Kirk Henning along with guest storytellers and musicians. A traditional marshmallow roast around the campfire is included.
